Attention all NSCC riders heading to Adelaide for the TDU Bootcamp.

The exact rides each day will be determined by Matt Garnon, the Bootcamp Director Sportif and will be announced on the day. Each rides will be minimum 100-150 km per day, but the pace will be moderate. This is all about base miles and having fun to park up and watch each stage of the TDU.

We will generally roll out from Bocelli's 81-83 Hutt St Adelaide each morning. The first official ride day will be Monday 19th, but as many are getting there early there will be semi-organised rides on Sat and Sunday.

Safety - An Important Notice to All NSCC Members

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

On behalf of Northern Sydney Cycling Club Committee, I wanted to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the cyclist who was tragically killed on Saturday morning on McCarrs Creek Road.

Such tragic events bring us all down to earth on the potential dangers of road cycling and the need for us all to be continually vigilant and conscious of how we ride. I won't comment on the particulars of this latest tragedy, especially as this is now a police matter.

Champs Champs Crit Preview

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Ok so the second week of club champs is almost upon us and I hope all of you had a decent Melbourne Cup day like I did. There were some outstanding performances coming from the TT Event last week and the Grafton form line is proving itself with Harrison, Marcus and Matt putting in some big performances last week. With 4 Divisions it is going to be difficult for me to know every competitor, so if I miss you off I apologise!

Plenty of unknowns going into the club champs this weekend, especially in Division 3 where I dont know half the riders in the field but anyway.

A fantastic day for the Rob Hodgson NSCC TT Champs up at Calga, a bit windy with a solid headwind on the way home, I know I was hurting coming over the top of Blood Hill in particular when I hit the wall of wind. A Great turn out for the event and good to see so many riders having a crack on Road Bikes.

October Long Weekend - Beauie Worlds on Monday 6th October - Sydney's Premier Criterium Race

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

This October long weekend we are determined to defeat the rain gods after the past three Beauie races have been cancelled.

On Monday 6th October, the NSCC BikeBug Beauie Crit series returns to Beaumont Road with an exciting race format specifically designed for riders who are drivers not sprinters. The race format will be a grade handicap - each grade will start at different times with the aim of staying away from the higher grade, or catching the lower grade.

The handicap race format has been very popular and the past two handicaps have been won by D and C graders respectively.
